PLTI-KC seeks individuals passionate about parent leadership, civic engagement, and child advocacy to join our advisory board.

Responsibilities of the Advisory Board

  • Advance the organization’s mission and purpose, and ensure its activities support that purpose.

  • Support the PLTI-KC Director and review her performance

  • Provide strategic direction and goals

  • Ensure adequate resources and help raise funds

  • Determine and monitor the organization’s programs and services

  • Manage resources effectively

  • Enhance the organization’s public image

  • Assess its own performance

  • Participate in quarterly board meetings and bimonthly committee meetings

June 8: Nominations & Board Approval

Summer: Board Orientation & Onboarding

September 14: Board Retreat
